Web28 de sept. de 2013 · This is a very basic ultra-linear "Williamson" power amp and not too hard to diagnose. You most probably have a shorted power supply capacitor. Here's a quick way to test it. Using a variac, monitor the B+ voltage at pin 2 of the rectifier tube. As you bring the Variac up to around 40 - 50 volts. Wait till you start to see the B+ voltage rise.
