The main benefit I see of handguards for the cold is if you use bar muffs the handguards will keep the bar muffs from pushing on your levers at speed. And if If I didn't have heated gloves & grips I probably would use bar muffs. Since I have a better solution, I don't. WebHeated gloves might perform better at keeping your hands warm but 1) they're a few times more expensive for the good ones, 2) they aren't just connected to the bike and ready to go like heated grips are, 3) you aren't necessarily getting a lot of glove for your money, just a fancy set of heating elements and some cables or batteries.

Don't be such a tight arse and put on aftermarket Oxford heated grips when the factory option is so good.
